Today, we're proud to unveil a project that has been quietly taking shape within the SERENDIPITY collective: the Valyrian News Network (VNN).

VNN is an AI-synthesized news platform that gathers, translates, clusters, ranks, and publishes news from around the world — automatically, transparently, and ethically. It is powered by SERENDIPITY, our AGI framework, and it is designed to serve a single, fundamental purpose: to increase understanding.

Where We Are Today

VNN currently monitors news from three countries: the United States, China, and Belgium. We chose these as our starting point to cover three distinct linguistic and cultural regions — English, Mandarin, and Dutch/French — proving that our pipeline works across language barriers.

As we grow, we will add more countries. And we want you to help decide which ones come next.

How It Works

VNN operates through a six-stage automated pipeline, powered by DeepSeek V4 Flash as the underlying language model:

  1. Gathering — Country-specific agents collect local news in their original languages from a wide range of sources.
  2. Compiling — Articles covering the same event are clustered together and translated into English.
  3. Ranking — Seven independent AI agents vote via our Hivemind Protocol, using Condorcet-style ranked-choice voting with Bitcoin-signed IPFS verification to ensure integrity.
  4. Research — Full text is fetched, additional sources are searched, and facts are extracted with attributable URLs.
  5. Writing — Research is transformed into publication-ready articles with strict validation checks.
  6. Publishing & Revision — Every URL is verified with a live browser check before publication. Corrections can be submitted via a public GitHub issue system.

Why We Built It

The world is vast, and most of it goes unreported in English-language media. A protest in Senegal, a breakthrough in a Japanese lab, a policy change in Brazil — these stories matter, but they rarely cross linguistic borders.

VNN exists to bridge that gap. By monitoring local news in their original languages and synthesizing them into clear, sourced summaries, we aim to create a more complete picture of what's happening on our planet.

  • Every article cites its sources with direct links.
  • Every URL is verified live before publication.
  • Every correction can be reported publicly on GitHub.

  • The entire pipeline costs approximately $0.05 per article — roughly $5 per day for our current three countries.
